Nederlander Concerts and Headbang For The Highway are proud to present the 3rd Annual California Metal Fest at The Grove in Anaheim/Orange County, CA on Saturday March 28th 2009. This long awaited one-day event hosted by The Grove will include a huge array of talent playing on two stages. Confirmed talent thus far includes Carcass, Suffocation, The Faceless, Whitechapel, Samael, Decrepit Birth, Veil of Maya, Psycroptic and many special guests To Be Announced in the coming weeks.

California Metal Fest has been on the forefront of presenting and developing Metal and Hardcore bands throughout California giving bands the opportunity to play venues everywhere, and discovering talent and taking them to the national touring level! Started in 2006 with the first ever Necrophagist Southern California appearance as the headliner, California Metal Fest has worked closely with relevant Metal and Hardcore bands and labels to create the ultimate one-day festival, blending Metal Legends, New and Upcoming Talent, and the finest bands from Southern California. The goal is to create an environment where hardworking bands are exposed to industry professionals, large crowds and get some well-deserved exposure.

2007’s line-up saw Testament, Suicide Silence and many other heavy hitters in the world of heavy metal.
California Metalfest 2009 is pleased to offer the West Coast metal community one final chance to see CARCASS perform live with an amazing undercard of old and new bands.
