Designed to both educate and inspire visitors in their musical endeavors (however serious), Music Live annually showcases the world’s biggest guitar, amplification, drum and music production brands from Fender and Gibson to Roland and Yamaha. Seminar content regularly covers topics as diverse as making a career in the music industry and recording the perfect demo.

The joining of forces means visitors will be able to enjoy the massive Music Live equipment exhibition and Live Stage during the day, with Hellfire taking over the live area each evening to create an anticipated audience of over 30,000 attendees. A total of four stages will play host to around 100 live performances throughout the weekend; joint tickets for both events will be available at discounted rates.

The inaugural Hellfire Festival, held at the Islington Academy in February 2009, enjoyed sell out crowds and boasted a line-up including Exodus, Overkill, Firewind, Breed 77, Sabbat and Warrior Soul to name but a few. With a reputation for featuring both breaking bands and established acts, Hellfire is at the forefront of the Rock and Metal scene. Damnation Festival 2009 will take place on Saturday, October 24 at Leeds University Union, across three stages with doors opening at the earlier time of 1pm through until 3am.

Grindcore supergroup LOCK UP will headline this year’s Terrorizer Stage in what will be their only show of 2009 and likely the band’s last ever live appearance.
The almost mythical extreme metal behemoth – which will feature At The Gates frontman Tomas Lindberg, Anton Resisenegger of Pentagram and Criminal on guitar, Napalm Death bassist Shane Embury and ex-Dimmu Borgir and Testament drummer Nick Barker – will perform live in the UK for the first time in almost ten years.

DAMNATION FESTIVAL is the product of a group of disillusioned fans fed up with watered down pop-rock taking the place of home-grown heavy metal talent on stages across the UK – we aim to address the balance.
You’ll often hear us banging the drum that this is an event “for the fans, by the fans” – but it can’t be put any simpler than that.
No suits behind the scenes, no money making master-plan and no agenda other than to host a festival bill worth stripping to the waist and rubbing against sweaty headbangers for!

Into it’s third year, the fest has begun it’s journey towards becoming one of the major events in the festival calendar, eclipsing, in just three years, some of the calendar’s most established events, and now we are being hosted by a 500-capacity, 2-stage facility in East London for 2009, which will become our semi-permanent home until we go outdoors!

Further to being bigger in scale in 2009, we will have a larger bill and will really be raising the roof in such a way that Canary Wharf and the 02 Arena (only a stone’s throw from the venue) will shake and sway to sound of “Rock Of Ages Fest”. This event will be THE event to see in 2009 and that’s before you see what else is on offer next year!

Femme Metal Festival is a brand new UK festival specifically aimed at promoting female fronted metal/rock bands and to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and Cancer Research UK.

Although originally envisioned by Martijn Westerholt as a musical project featuring a host of guest musicians, due to the high demand for live performances a real band was formed. This lead to the Roadrunner release of Delain‘s debut album ‘Lucidity’ in 2006. The group of musicians quickly transformed into a solid rocking force. Now Delain is nothing less than a real band. A versatile band with an impressive new album called April Rain.
